The tools are pretend

The code that appears when you type is pre-written text. It is displayed, never executed. Progress bars, cracked passwords, traced routes, file transfers and "Access Granted" messages are animations generated in your own browser. The site cannot access, monitor, modify or damage any computer, phone, network, account, satellite or anything else.

Not instructions

Nothing on this site teaches or encourages unauthorised access to computer systems. Accessing systems without permission is illegal in most countries. If you are interested in security as a skill or career, look into legal training routes such as capture-the-flag competitions and authorised practice labs.

Use pranks responsibly

You are responsible for how you use the tools. Pranks should be short, friendly and followed by a reveal. Do not use the site to frighten people, to pressure them, or to pretend to represent an organisation.
