Prank Sounds Soundboard

73 prank sound effects, one tap each. Every sound is generated by code in your browser, made for this site, so there is no recording to copy and no copyright to worry about. The trick for pranks is the delay: pick a sound, set it to play in 30 seconds or at a random moment, leave the phone somewhere sneaky and walk away.

Free to use, no copyright

Most soundboards are made of clips cut from songs, films, TV shows and games, which belong to someone else. Every sound here was built from scratch with the Web Audio API in your browser: oscillators, filtered noise and envelopes, with no recordings involved. The classical tunes are centuries old and in the public domain, played by our own synthesiser. You are welcome to use the downloaded WAV files in your own videos, games and streams. A link back to this page is appreciated but not required.

Prank sounds FAQ

Are these sound effects copyright free?

Yes. Every sound is generated by code on this page rather than copied from a recording, and the classical tunes are in the public domain. You can download them as WAV files and use them in your own projects.

Do I need to download the sounds?

No. They play straight from the page. Download is only there if you want a WAV file for a video or a game.

Why don't the sounds play on my iPhone?

Check that the silent switch on the side is off. iPhones mute web audio when the ring/silent switch is set to silent.

Can I make a sound play later?

Yes. Choose a delay in the Play menu before tapping the sound. "At a random moment" picks a time between 1 and 5 minutes.

Will the delay work if I lock my phone?

Usually not. Phones pause web pages when the screen locks. Keep the screen on (set auto-lock to "never" for the prank) and turn the brightness down instead.
