Everything on this screen is animation. The addresses are private-range placeholders and the "files" do not exist.
What the hacker simulator does
Where Hacker Typer gives you one wall of code, the simulator gives you the whole movie set. Five panels run at once:
- Terminal. Click it and type. Every key adds Python code, and during a simulation it types on its own.
- Password cracker. Random characters spin until an eight-character key locks in, one character at a time.
- Network trace. A hop-by-hop route with response times, like a traceroute.
- File transfer. Three progress bars for suitably dramatic file names.
- System. CPU, memory and uplink meters that jump when the simulation is running.
When the key is found and the transfers finish, a green ACCESS GRANTED banner appears. The run takes about half a minute, which is a good length for a prank or a video clip.
Ideas for using it
- Background for videos and streams. Go full screen on a second monitor for an instant "hacker room" backdrop.
- Classroom demos. Show students what films get wrong, then explain what real security work looks like.
- Office pranks. Leave it running on your screen during lunch. For a prank that names a specific target, use Hacker Typer Prank.

Is this hacker simulator real hacking?
No. It is a visual simulation. It does not connect to any other computer, crack any password or download any file. All the numbers and text are generated in your browser.
Is the hacker simulator free?
Yes. It is free to use online with no download and no account.
Can I use the hacker simulator in full screen?
Yes. Press the Fullscreen button in the bar above the dashboard, and press Esc to leave full screen.
Can I use it in a YouTube video or stream?
Yes, you can record or stream the simulator. A link back to hackertyper.app is appreciated but not required.
